E-mail : eric.kieb@baycitygracechurch.org
Eric was born and raised in the metro-Detroit area. Married to his college sweetheart, Lisa, since 1996, they have three beautiful children: Brennan, Calvin, and Isabella.
As an active United Methodist throughout his life, before ordination as an Elder in the United Methodist Church, he held numerous lay leadership positions within the local church and served as a staff person with a para-church organization during his years in college.
He graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Communications, with an emphasis in interpersonal communications and a minor in journalism. After graduating from EMU, he worked in the communications industry before attending seminary at Asbury Theological Seminary where he received his Masters of Divinity Degree with honors.
Eric has served three churches in his 20 years of full-time ministry both as an Associate Pastor and a Lead Pastor. In addition to pastoring Grace Church UMC, he serves on the New Church Development Committee, and serves as a coach, facilitator, and consultant for the Vital Church Initiative (VCI) of the Detroit Annual Conference.
In his spare time, Eric is an amateur photographer, musician, writer, and avid reader. He loves a good cup of coffee and enjoys engaging conversations with people who are conspiring to make a difference in the world with the love of Christ.
Eric is passionate to empower the church to connect in authentic missional ways within the community in which it makes its home. He believes that the church currently finds itself in an age of unprecedented opportunities to reclaim the missional call of the Kingdom of God to “go and make disciples.”
